Wood Processing Industry

Presently, approximately 150 small and medium sized companies with 4000 employees are operating at the wood processing sector. 100 of such companies are domestic, 40 foreign invested companies.

Approximately 90 of these companies are operating in rural areas, 40 in UB city.
The main factor of rapid increase of wooden products needs at domestic market is related to development of construction sector, directly.

For instance: production of door and windows was increased by 2,3 times, compared with the same period of the previous year.

It’s important to process raw materials without waste, supply domestic needs by ecologically clean wood and wooden products, and increase industry on export products through the encourage and develop mat on small and middle sized industries, equipped by new techniques and technology which are harmless for the environment.
