Sources of Information on Foreign Investment

A wide range of economic statistics, including those relating to foreign direct investment can be obtained through the National Statistical Office (NSO) of Mongolia. The majority of the NSO’s information comes in turn from the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (FIFTA) of Mongolia, the government agency responsible for promoting and facilitating foreign investment in Mongolia. In addition to providing practical advice and support to new and established foreign investment, FIFTA maintains links with a range of government bodies and institutions and serves as the first-line source of information on foreign investment trends. Other sources of FDI statistics include the Ministry of Finance, and the tax and custom authorities, which compile their own statistics for budgeting purposes.
